The Town’s annual hydrant flushing program is continuing throughout the community.

Crews are currently working in Zone H (Industrial) and will continue through the remainder of Zone H before moving into Zone S (South of Mainstreet) as the program progresses through residential areas.

Hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance activity that helps remove sediment from watermains, improve water quality, and ensure hydrants are operating properly for emergency use.

During flushing, residents may notice:

  • Temporary discoloured or cloudy water
  • Brief fluctuations in water pressure
  • Water flowing along roads or into storm drains while crews are working

If your water becomes discoloured, please run your cold-water taps until the water clears.
