Valleyview Visitor Information Centre and Rest Area

Visitor Information Centre is the place to get informed on up-to-date travel advice, road reports, weather, and local events. We are stocked to the rafters with tourism information, travel guides and maps, not to mention the souvenirs, crafts and books available!

This great location offers easy “on and off” highway access for motor homes and trailers. There is plenty of parking, plus ample green space for enjoying a picnic, letting the kids run around and on-leash dog walking.

Our facility will accommodate any traveller’s essential needs- accredited AVIP information centre, bathrooms available 24/7 all year round, free WIFI on-site, souvenir shop, picnic area, sani-dump station and non-potable water for R.V’s.

Here you can come to see the forty-mile view and the historic cairn commemorating the old district border of Alberta. In 1882, part of the Northwest Territories was split into four districts; Alberta, Assiniboia, Athabasca, and Saskatchewan. In 1903 the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan were created incorporating most of the lands of the four old districts.

With friendly and knowledgeable staff offering bilingual services, we can help with your summer vacation plans within the community and beyond. Whether you are looking for a resting place on your journey or travel information, the Valleyview Information Centre is pleased to help you!
