Proposed Amendments to Bylaw #2023-12 – Council Procedural Bylaw
The Town of Valleyview is proposing amendments to Bylaw #2023-12 to update the process for electing the mayor.
Key changes include repealing or amending the following sections:
• 6.1.2 (c) and (d)
• 6.1.3 (a)
• 6.1.5
• 6.1.7
These sections address the Council-appointed Mayor process, the Chief Administrative Officer’s (CAO) role in the Oath of Office and organizational meetings.
Additional grammatical and structural revisions are also proposed.

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Bylaw Process
Electors may submit a petition requesting a public vote on the proposed bylaw. For details on petition requirements, contact the Town of Valleyview Administration Office at 780-524-5150.
