After further investigation, the watermain break on 45th Street in the industrial area was found to be larger than initially expected. Additional time and resources have been required to ensure the repair is completed properly and safely.
Public Works crews and Utility workers are on site today, August 21, 2025, continuing with repairs. Barring any major setbacks, water service is expected to be restored later today. Customers in the affected area shown on the attached map will continue to experience an interruption in service until work is completed.
Due to the pressure changes caused by this break, other areas of the water system may also experience temporary water quality changes, such as unusual odor, color, or appearance. If this occurs, residents are advised to thoroughly flush their water lines by running cold water taps (preferably bathtubs or showers) for at least 5 minutes, or until the water runs clear and cold.
