On behalf of residents, the Town of Valleyview would like to extend our appreciation to Greenview Search and Rescue for their dedication and hard work in organizing the SAR exercises at the Valleyview Airport, April 25-27. It’s a privilege to have such a fine group of dedicated volunteers prepared to serve this community. Our thanks also go out to the Royal Canadian Air Force for allowing the opportunity to see the Search and Rescue squadrons in action, meet with SAR Techs, and to see up close some of the aircrafts used in search and rescue missions.
And last, but certainly not least, thank you to our volunteer casualties – Shawn Lazenby, Dean Ilg, and Jesse Harris for a job well done, to adjacent landowners for kindly allowing access to your property so this event could take place and to all other volunteers who made this event possible.
