Ample rainfall typically allows for excellent crops and hay pastures to be grown. Excellence in quantity and quality are both typically true.

The agricultural sector is serviced by seed cleaning plants located at Valleyview and Debolt.

Major equipment dealers and grain elevators are close by in Grande Prairie, Falher and High Prairie. Valleyview also offers shortline distributors, fertilizer and fuel dealerships.

Agriculture is the backbone of many of our rural communities. It provides a unique opportunity to work in conjunction with nature to provide a food source exported throughout the world.

Farmers in the M.D. have provided a long history of taming nature’s earth to produce some of the best agricultural products in Alberta.
