Alberta Biz Connect is live!  https://www.alberta.ca/biz-connect.aspx

The provincial online tool has guidelines to help prepare businesses for the stage one relaunch.

If you have sector specific questions, please send them to: bizconnect@gov.ab.ca

As businesses begin to reopen as part of Alberta’s relaunch strategy, resources are available to help. To support a successful relaunch, businesses should continue acting responsibly by following public health guidance, employing physical distancing measures and use good hygiene and disinfecting practices. Additional information is available at https://www.alberta.ca/biz-connect.aspx. Remember to download the ABTraceTogether application to help our public health officials complete their contact tracing to help limit the spread of the virus.

We are pleased to share that over 4,000 offers have been made to Alberta’s Bits and Pieces portal. Consolidated lists are shared regularly across government and departments will be in direct contact if their needs match available offers. We thank you for your participation and ask you to continue to share offerings at https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/a9dc59fefa324814884e16f4ac084d6d.

Additionally, we want to share ways that you can find additional opportunities to both supply and buy COVID related products and services. You may be interested in some of the following platforms that are complimentary to the Alberta Bits and Pieces portal:

  • Federal Call to Action for Manufacturers where Canadian manufacturers can assist Canada in meeting the need for medical supplies;
  • ATB Nexus (an Alberta based procurement solution, supported by ATB Financial) can help create RFP packages and find supply chain opportunities for your business;
  • Rapid Response Platform a new automated system that can match supply with demand, simplifying supplier discovery during the procurement process; and
  • Amazon has publicly launched the COVID-19 Store for Canada, which gives manufacturers and other vendors/sellers opportunities to sell inventory.

Your experience and insight will be critical as our support evolves.

More information on Stage one can be found on the relaunch strategy website.
