The purpose of Town of Valleyview’s Community Standards Bylaw #2023-11 is to promote a safe, attractive, and healthy community for all residents and visitors.
In keeping with Bylaw #2023-11, Section 5.2(m), any tree, shrub, or other vegetation must not:
- Interfere with any public work or utility;
- Obstruct any sidewalk adjacent to the land; or
- Impair visibility required for safe traffic flow at any intersection adjacent to the land.
Homeowners and/or occupants must keep trees, shrubs, or other vegetation on their property trimmed. If you are unable to do so safely, it is recommended to seek the services of a certified arborist.
