Hydrant Repair – Possible Water Service Interruption

The Town of Valleyview Utilities & Asset Management, together with Public Works crews, will be completing a hydrant repair. To safely complete this work, we may need to temporarily shut off water service in the following areas:

Impacted Areas: 

• 51^st Avenue: from 48^th Street and 47^th Street
• 47^th Street: from 50^th Avenue to 51^st Avenue
• 48^th Street: from 50^th Avenue to 52^nd Avenue
• 52^nd Avenue: from 48^th Street to 49^th Street

A map of the affected properties is attached below. Impacted areas are highlighted in green.

Traffic control measures will be in place while work in completed. Please use caution if driving through the area.

Residents and businesses in the affected area will experience a temporary water outage or low pressure during the repair.

Recommendations

• Prepare for the temporary water shut-off
• Once water service is restored, you may notice temporary discoloration. Run your cold taps until clear.
• Avoid using hot water or laundry until your water runs clear.

We will work to complete the repair as quickly as possible and minimize disruption.
