The Town of Valleyview is conducting sanitary sewer flushing and inspection work starting today, April 8th, 2026. The work will take place along 46 Street from 50 Avenue to 53 Avenue and 50 Street from 50 Avenue to 52 Avenue, and is expected to be completed by April 10, 2026, weather permitting. This work is part of the Town’s ongoing efforts to maintain and assess the condition of the sanitary sewer system.
What Can I Expect During Flushing and Inspections
Residents will not experience any disruption to any sewer service during this work. However, flushing and inspection activities may cause temporary noise, odours, and minor spills. These conditions are temporary and will subside once work in the area is complete.
Traffic Impacts
Residents should be aware that temporary traffic control measures may be in place in work areas while inspections are underway. These may include brief lane restrictions, reduced traffic speeds, and equipment and crew presence on roadways.
Please obey all posted signage and exercise caution around active work zones.
Why Flushing and CCTV Inspections are Important
Flushing and CCTV inspections help the Town identify pipe defects, blockages, and deterioration, reduce the risk of sewer backups and emergencies, support long-term planning and infrastructure reliability, and maintain service levels through both routine and critical upgrades.
