The Town of Valleyview is aware that some residents may have noticed changes in the appearance of their tap water. While the water may look different, we want to assure the public that drinking water remains safet to consume
Recent testing has shown higher-than-normal sediment levels in the outside treated water reservoir. This is affecting the water’s clarity and may temporarily change how it looks, tastes, or smells.
To correct this issue, our Utilities Department has begun work that includes:
- Isolating and cleaning the treated water reservoir,
- Adjusting treatment processes to improve clarity,
- Ongoing sampling and monitoring throughout the distribution system
All regulatory water quality standards continue to be met, and our certified operators are actively addressing the problem to restore normal water appearance as quickly as possible.
If you use an in-home filtration device, please ensure it is maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
