The Town of Valleyview Utilities & Asset Management and Public Works crews have completed a localized repair behind the hospital in Zone H (Crocus Hill). The issue was isolated at a curb stop fitting, and we were able to complete the repair without shutting off service to any customers. System pressure and water quality remain normal.
Crews performed a small excavation and installed new fittings to stop the leak. The area has been backfilled and made safe; temporary surface restoration (gravel/cold mix) is in place. Final surface restoration and cleanup will be scheduled as conditions allow. Please use caution near the work area and follow any remaining signage.
If you notice discoloured water, run cold taps for 5–10 minutes (or until clear and cold). Avoid laundry and hot water use until your cold water runs clear to prevent staining or sediment entering your hot-water tank. If you observe any pooling water near the site over the next few days, please let us know.
