Utilities & Asset Management and Public Works crews are on site this morning to complete a repair on 40 Avenue between Highway Street and Ravine Drive. To perform this work safely, water service on this one avenue is shut off during the repair window. A short section of 40 Avenue around the worksite is also closed to traffic — please stay clear so our crews can work safely.
What to expect:
- No water service in 40 Avenue (Highway St → Ravine Dr) from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (MDT)
- Localised traffic control and a short road closure on the worksite
After service is restored (around noon):
- Water may appear cloudy or have a chlorine odor—run a cold tap (bathtub or laundry tub) for 5-10 minutes until your cold water runs clear
- Avoid laundry and hot water use until your cold water runs clear
