The Town of Valleyview is gearing up to plan the 2027 Budget, and we need your input! We are taking a structured approach to review 34 municipal programs across the Community Services, Corporate Services, Public Works, and Utility Services departments. To ensure our budget reflects the community’s priorities, we are launching a comprehensive Public Participation Plan.
Over the next few weeks, we will be rolling out several ways for you to share your thoughts on how important specific municipal services are to you, and how satisfied you are with how the Town is delivering them. Your feedback will directly inform Council’s discussions regarding service levels, priorities, and financial trade-offs.
Here is a look at what is coming up:
May 18, 2026 – Community Survey Launch:
An online survey (with paper copies also available at the front desk) will open to assess citizen priorities. Participation will enter you into a draw for a prize valued at least $100!
June 1, 2026 – Brainstorm Board:
A digital brainstorm board will go live to capture your ideas, concerns, and suggestions. Participants will be able to post ideas and react to others’ input to help identify common themes. The contributor of the most ‘liked’ idea will win a prize valued at least $100!
June 24, 2026 – Public Open House:
We will host an open house to present the Town’s financial position, key cost drivers, and budget constraints. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with Council and Senior Administration. Attendance will be incentivized with free snacks a chance to win a prize valued at least $100!
