Beginning Tuesday, June 2, 2026, crews will begin the annual hydrant flushing program, which is expected to continue through to the end of July.

Work will begin in Zone H (Industrial) and progress through the community, with crews eventually moving into residential areas as the program continues.

Hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance activity completed to help remove sediment from watermains, help keep and improve water quality, and ensure hydrants are operating properly for emergency use.

During flushing, residents may notice:

  • Temporary discoloured or cloudy water, or sediment in the lines.

  • Brief drops or fluctuations in water pressure.

  • Water flowing along roads or into storm drains while crews are working.

If your water becomes discoloured, please run your cold water taps until it clears.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this important maintenance work is completed.

Please see the zone map below for reference.
