The Town of Valleyview Utilities Department has begun water line flushing as part of our regular maintenance program to improve water quality and aesthetics, ensuring clear, clean, and reliable water throughout the community.
What’s Happening
Water Operators will be flushing lines through fire hydrants to remove naturally occurring sediment and maintain water clarity.
Work will begin today in Zone H, from the Water Plant to 48th Avenue, including the Westview Trailer Park and 45th and 46th Streets, before continuing into Zone S (South of Main) later in the day.
Flushing will continue throughout the week as crews work through additional areas of the system.
Affected Areas:
Properties within Zones H and S may notice some temporary changes in their water during this time. Please refer to the map below for a visual overview of the community’s water service zones.

What to Expect:
- Temporary water discolouration
- Possible fluctuations in water pressure
- Water remains safe to use
If your water appears discoloured, please run a cold water tap until it clears.
Town water operators will be working in these areas, and traffic control measures will be in place where needed.
