Town of Valleyview Awarded AMWWP Grant
(Valleyview, Alberta – August 5, 2022)
The Town of Valleyview is pleased to announce our municipality was recently awarded a grant through the Alberta Municipal Water/Wastewater Partnership (AMWWP). The funding, delivered through Alberta Transportation, will support up to $2,219,066 in essential upgrades to the core infrastructure at the Valleyview Wastewater Lagoon.
With construction anticipated to begin in 2023, the AMWWP grant will fund critical improvements to the wastewater system, offset capital costs associated with the project, create jobs, and boost the local economy.
The Alberta Municipal Water/Wastewater Partnership provides cost-shared funding to eligible municipalities to help build municipal facilities for water supply and treatment, and wastewater treatment and disposal.
