The Valleyview Airport Rehabilitation Project is now underway.
The project, which involves an overlay of the runway and taxiway, will receive 75% funding from Alberta Transportation’s Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program (STIP) through the Community Airport Program. The Town of Valleyview, the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16, and individuals and organizations invested in our community, have committed to the remainder of the project cost.
Once completed, the airport runway will have an extended service life and allow for an improved experience for airport users.
The Town of Valleyview has been engaged with airport stakeholders including medevac services and Alberta Forestry to minimize impacts of operations the duration the project, which is expected to last six weeks.
