The Town of Valleyview Annual Residential Large Item Pick-Up Program is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, May 23 to Friday, May 26, 2023.
During this event, Public Works crews will pick up items curbside from residential addresses only. Examples of items that qualify for this program are large appliances, household furniture, mattresses, small equipment, barbecues, bicycles, exercise equipment (dismantled), tires, metal, and wood (wood must be bundled).
To schedule a pick-up, please call Public Works at (780) 524-5155, Mondays to Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Be ready to provide your name, phone number, civic address, and description of your items. We will be accepting calls for large item pick-up until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25.
All items must be placed to the front of your property starting May 23 and must not obstruct the sidewalk or roadway. Items will be removed throughout the week with a booked pick-up; it may not be the same day.
Please be advised that the pit at the Valleyview Landfill was permanently closed in 2022, and no longer accepts items previously disposed of in the pit, such as furniture and mattresses. This is a great opportunity to get rid of those unwanted items.
