The Town of Valleyview Annual Residential Large Item Pick-Up Program is scheduled to take place from Monday, May 16 to Friday, May 20, 2022.
During this event, Public Works crews will pick up items curbside from residential addresses only. Examples of items that qualify for this program are large appliances, household furniture, mattresses, small equipment, barbecues, bicycles, exercise equipment (dismantled), tires, metal, and wood (wood must be bundled).
To schedule a pick-up, please call Public Works at (780) 524-5155, Mondays to Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Be ready to provide your name, phone number, civic address, and description of your items. We will be accepting calls for large item pick-up until 12:00 Noon, Thursday, May 19.
All items must be placed to the front of your property starting May 16 and must not obstruct the sidewalk or roadway. Items will be removed throughout the week with a booked pick-up; it may not be the same day.
Please be advised that the pit at the Valleyview Landfill will be permanently closed effective May 31, 2022, and will no longer be open to accept some items previously disposed of in the pit, such as furniture and mattresses. This is a great opportunity to get rid of those unwanted items.
