BEE ON THE LOOKOUT: Report Swarms, Don’t Spray!
Honeybee swarms are most common in June and July when a colony runs out of space in its hive. During this time, bees cluster together in a large, ball-like group while they search for a new home.
You might spot swarms:
-
In trees
-
On fences
-
Around houses, buildings, or cars
Don’t worry—swarms are usually calm and unlikely to attack if undisturbed.
If you see a swarm, please don’t spray them!
