Draft Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP)
Greenview Bylaw 20-860 & Town of Valleyview Bylaw 2020-08
We heard your responses at the October 2020 Open House and have made amendments to the Draft Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP). Both Councils agreed to changes to the plan whereby references to Alberta Transportation’s proposed highway realignment have been removed from the Draft IDP.
Prior to moving forward with the formal adoption of the IDP, we are inviting landowners, businesses and community stakeholders to engage with us at a Joint Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. Please note that provincial COVID-19 protocols remain in place; therefore, the meeting has been scheduled via Zoom.
Contact the MD of Greenview Planning Department to provide your input in writing or to schedule your attendance via Zoom, to listen to the public hearing and/or to speak at the public hearing. The deadline for written and scheduled Zoom attendance is noon, Wednesday, March 4, 2021. VVMD IDP
An IDP is a collaborative land use planning framework that guides future planning and development, manages growth, facilitates environmental initiatives and supports collaboration around infrastructure and community services. This IDP will provide a long-term, mutually supported framework for the future development and growth in the area.
