Town of Valleyview Community Services is committed to water conservation in response to the on-going lack of precipitation and spring runoff, which has led to drought-like conditions across the province.
In an effort to maintain water reserves and ensure the uninterrupted flow of town water for essential use, the Community Services department is taking steps to limit consumption.
For the 2024 season, the department will not be planting flowers or trees and therefore, not watering; the Splash Park will remain closed until further notice; and truck and equipment washing will be significantly reduced.
Although the Main Street flowers and the Splash Park are summertime favourites in our town and will be missed, we thank you for understanding the difficult decision that was made to go without these community attractions at this time.
